The First 40 Days

A full-care, restorative postpartum model rooted in warmth, nourishment, and daily tending.

Traditional Postpartum Care
This isn’t your typical “fold the laundry and rock the baby” kind of postpartum support. It’s six full weeks of deeply restorative, traditional care—rooted in the wisdom of Ayurvedic and ancestral postpartum practices. Instead of a revolving door of baby care or surface-level help, this model honors the sacred first 40 days as a time for full-body healing, nourishment, and recalibration. Every visit is an intentional ritual of warmth, food, herbs, and rest—designed to wrap the mother in care so she can truly recover, bond, and rebuild her strength from the inside out.

Why It’s Different
This care is slow, intentional, and rooted in presence. It’s about rebuilding—not rushing. In order to care for your baby and family, you have to be cared for first. You won’t have to “host” anyone, plan meals, or pretend to have it all together. You’ll be nurtured in your own home with the kind of care mothers were once surrounded by—warm food, gentle hands, herbal baths, and true rest.

This is the postpartum season as it was always meant to be: held, nourished, and wholly supported.

What to Expect

A woman sitting on a bed feeding herself breakfast from a bowl, while another woman stands nearby holding a crying baby indoors near a large glass door.

Your postpartum journey starts before birth. During your third trimester, we’ll meet to discuss your vision, desires, and expectations for the weeks after baby arrives. You’ll receive:

  • Complimentary access to Blood, Bone & Broth: Holistic Postpartum Prep Course

  • A digital bundle of three postpartum cookbooks: Freezer Meal Prep Guide, Traditional Nourishing Postpartum Foods, and Healing Broth & Warm Drinks

  • An in-person meeting in your home during the third trimester to discuss your needs, desires and vision for postpartum.

These resources help you (and your partner) design a nourishing, supported postpartum plan—long before you need it.
